C O M M E R C I A L
Some imagery I created for the PlayStation website while working in-house at Sony, combining 3D and 2D elements.
I worked on numerous pieces of marketing artwork for the Hungry Shark game franchise, and helped to make Hungry Shark World one of the biggest mobile game launches of 2016, reaching 10 million downloads in less than a week. This section contains artwork I produced personally, whereas the Video/Direction section contains Hungry Shark work where my role was more in a planning and direction capacity.
Some posed renders of sharks from Hungry Shark World, using sharks taken straight from the game:
I created this 360 degree video for new year's eve 2016/2017, including VFX and audio, and everything except the source game models.
Here are a couple of shots I did utilising Rabbids characters that appeared in the background of the animated short Hungry Shark Shorts: Human Week (see Video/Direction section).
ART FOR PLAYSTATION THEMES
As seen in the videos in the 'PlayStation Themes' section of the site, I have produced upwards of 80 PS4 and PS3 dynamic themes. Many have involved designing and creating artwork myself, so here is a closer look at some of these.
REUTERS/ABB - YUMI INTERACTIVE WEB ANIMATION
I worked at Reuters, creating the robot for this real-time WebGL advert for their site. It's advertising a human-friendly industrial construction robot that costs something like £2 million to buy. I retopologised it from a high-res CAD model and baked normal maps, then created other textures, rigged, and animated it.
The project won the following awards:
The Internationalist - Innovative Digital marketing - Silver Award
Marcom - Gold Award
UNRELEASED PS4 GAME
The following images are from a 'vertical slice' demo I worked on for a PS4 game. I did all modelling and nearly all texturing (mostly from concept art), plus level layout, lighting, and lightmapping in Unity. I produced two levels and about seven characters over the course of a couple of months, so it probably could have been more refined if not for these time constraints.
This is a semi-educational adventure game from Bossa Studios (of Surgeon Simulator fame) in which you rescue your Dad from the villainous Trickster and inadverntently expand your vocabulary while doing it. I believe it's been distributed in American schools. I mostly did rigging and animation using Maya, using the 2D imagery as textures on 3D planes.
